AIDAN CASSELLS

BASS GUITAR

Aidan Cassells plays bass for the Colorado-based band Paradox. He fell in love with music at an early age, picking up the guitar at age seven and beginning private instruction with Adam Lockwood in the summer of 2010. After finding his middle school music program didn’t have a slot for electric guitar he picked up the bass at twelve years old and played in Monarch K-8’s Concert and Jazz Band. Aidan’s talent on bass led him into Monarch High School’s top jazz band, directed by Clare Church, as an incoming freshman, where he’s played for the past three years. As a junior, Aidan also played bass for the MHS marching band, one of the top high school bands in the state of Colorado. During the summer of 2018, Aidan was nominated by his MHS band instructors to play bass for the Colorado Ambassadors of Music program, which included a two week tour in Europe covering England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy. He joined Paradox in April of 2019.

Aidan’s performance experience includes Dog House Music Studios, Herman’s Hideaway, Local 46, Summit Music Hall, Denver Open Media and various venues across Europe.

Aidan’s musical influences include Rush, Joe Satriani, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, Mastodon, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Tool, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Evans Trio, Victor Wooten, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Thin Lizzy, and Rage Against the Machine, just to name a few.
